What’s the best answer to all of our customers’ questions?
CALL US! (651) 797-6000.
Since all feet are unique, and all footwear fits differently, use our experience from fitting thousands of men with XL and or Wide feet over more than a decade. Our experienced fit experts routinely fit men better from thousands of miles away over a brief phone call, than reps in their local shoe store can do in person. As one of our seasoned fit experts righteously proclaims, “It’s not that I’m that good, it’s that everyone else in the industry is that bad”.

How do I measure the width of my feet?
The best way to measure is on a brannock device which most shoe stores allow people to use for free. The next best option which has a much lower success rate, is to measure you foot in inches and call us to convert the length measurement from inches to shoe sizes. It's flawed to begin with as a full shoe shoe size is based on the length of a mustard seed!
Unfortunately, there is no universal measurement for width when it comes to how an item fits. Even within the same brand, a "4E Wide" for example, could vary in how wide actually feels significantly from one style to another. Variations in how wide a 4E is can vary even more from one brand to another. Width is just one of many factors that our experienced fit experts use to determine the best fit for our customers and when fitting a foot without considering all the factors.

Does XLfeet have a sizing chart?
We intentionally do not offer a sizing chart. Since all footwear fits differently, sizing charts have proven to be very misleading and cause many more returns, hassle, and costs for our customers.
Fitting feet is like prescribing medication. If patients could simply look at a symptom chart and prescribe medication to themselves based on that chart alone, this would be dangerous as different drugs interact with different people, their allergies, other conditions, and other medications differently. Even different versions of the same drug could have vastly different effects on the same person.
Fitting a foot (all of which have their own unique factors), while hardly dangerous to one’s health, is just like prescribing medication to yourself based on a chart of symptoms and not consulting a doctor. The riskiest part of fitting one’s feet based on a size chart is the wasted time, hassle, and worse, the shipping costs that result from receiving footwear that doesn’t fit.
For the best fit, please call us at (651) 797-6000.
We have the wisdom of fitting thousands of men both in person and over the phone, and we know the difference in fit from one brand to the next and one style to another.
Does XLfeet have a catalog?
Unfortunately, due to how many products are always being newly released and discontinued, if we did print a catalog, it’d be obsolete the day it was printed. Our website has the most up to date offering of our products, and if you’d like to know more, please call us at (651) 797-6000.

What’s the difference between a 4E and a 5E (or E to EE, or 3E to 4E, or 5E to 6E)?
Just more width. If you are at all uncertain we can blindly tell you based on the thousands of returns and exchanges we’ve processed over more than a decade of serving men with XL and Wide Feet, more than 90% of the time wider is better. It's important to note the brands that make 5E like: Propet, Old Freind, and especially Florsheim, are respectively some of the narrowest fitting brands. In reality their 5E in practice fits more like a very snug or narrow fitting 4E. If all things were equal, and THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT, every 'E' of width fits about the same as the width of a nickel. If your even doubtful, call us at (651) 797-6000.
