This boot protects your big feet well with its composite toe cap. it's made in big and wide mens sizes 8-13, 14, and 15, but more than 99% of our customers perfer this and the other Carolina boots in EEEE - 4E wide for their wide feet to stay comfortable.  The composite toe is nice because it is both light weight and it doesn't conduct cold the way steel does. In terms of safety, both steel and composite toe caps have the same impact rating. With steel if you drop an item heavy enough to exceed that impact rating you could get your toes cut off when the steel bends, but with composite it would shatter and help to save your toes. These big mens boots are made in size 7-13, 14, and 15 in 2E, and EEEE Wide. They are equipped with a Heavy Duty Steel Linesman Shank so that as you climb the rungs cannot dig into your foot, which makes for a much more comfotable day.
