Big feet need love, care, and comfort too. Foot care is critical and often overlooked. We spend a lot of time on our feet, and so we need to tend to them. At XL Feet, we want to empower you to care more about your foot care routine. We have compiled five foot care tips you need to know.

1. CHECK YOUR FEET DAILY

Do you inspect your feet daily? If not, this is extremely important. When examining your feet check for blisters, sores, or cuts, because these issues can cause infection. Often we neglect to examine our feet at the end of a long day, and they can become a severe health hazard. Check those feet for optimal foot care.

2. SOAK THOSE TOES.

Grab some sea salt and a bowl, add warm water and you have a foot bath. Soaking your feet is important because it relaxes them and helps soften, and makes it easier to remove calluses. While you're gently soaking start to remove calluses, clip and file toenails. This process of grooming should be very relaxing.

3. DRY YOUR FEET

After soaking or bathing, make sure you are thoroughly drying your feet. Proper foot care means stopping fungal infections before they start. Drying your feet, especially between the toes, aids in stopping fungal infections.

4. APPLY LOTION DAILY

Lotion prevents your feet from becoming dry and irritated. Spots that tend to need more lotion include: in between the toes, heels, and the Achilles.

5. BUY SHOES THAT FIT

Maybe it was because you were in a hurry or because your wife had you try on every shoe in the store, either way, you bought them. Buying shoes that are too small width or length wise can cause blisters and bunions. You want to make sure your shoes fit perfectly! We have sizes 13 and up. Stop by our shop.
